Deliberate Creativity
Every year, my good friend Robert Perry from Tulsa get together, and host a photo safari. Sometimes to locations exotic or rare, and sometimes, we stay closer to Denver, and work at specific locations across the area. The point is creativity for creativity sake.
Collaboration
The point of safari's is to collaborate with photographers and models, to do things unique, different, and pushing creativity boundaries. Want to try projector work as a photographer? Sure. Want to try this crazy light/prop combination that doesn't make sense until we do it? Also sure. Planning starts a month or three out, so keep an eye out.
Experiment and Learn
How do you add something to your portfolio or skllset without trying things new. Safari allows us to do things that a model OR photographer can reach out and say "I want to figure out how to accomplish this" and in a positive and collaborative environment, attempt it, and learn from the successes and failures.
Portfolio
Because safari's are open to new, established, models and photographers both, we often find that they lend very well to expansion of a portfolio slot you wanted to open.
